I am having an issue with WIndows 7. When I unpluged my HP ELitebook 6930P from the docking station I left it for a short period and returned to it not functioning and not displaying anything on the monitor. Now I am unable to log in to the system in any way other than Safe Mode. Startup Repair does not work, there are now system restore points and windows memory check shows no problem. The system sits on the log in screen of windows 7 and I can enter my username and password but can not click the "->" button or rather when I click it nothing happens. When I hit "Switch user" the windows start screen freezes but I can still use my mouse. I am posting this from another computer; if anyone has any ideas or any tests I need to do to help diagnoise this please le tme know; I have used ESET's Command Line Removal Tool and it picked up nothing. So I am at a loss especially since my HP contract ended so at present my system is basically useless.
