Since the morning of the 28th May the email via talktalk has been flaky, they now claim that it is fixed, however I still have problems receiving emails. I contacted TT support and we worked through the operators check list. This consisted of checking that I had rebooted the desktop, the details of the OS, the details of the router down to serial number? I then had to send an email to myself via webmail then send an email to myself using live mail. Eventually he gave up, stating as the emails, to myself, were getting through there was no fault. I raised the point that other users could not get through to me and my emails to them were not received, he did not understand this or did not want to understand this situation. By now I was a tiny bit frustrated by this constant questioning regards to the complaint that I wanted to report, we then got onto passwords and that I would have to change them - I have three TT email addresses, one hotmail(outlook), one livemail and one googlemail, this revelation that I was using more than one email address was too much and he did not have a checklist question for this situation and I decided to terminate the call then as it is both tiring and frustrating to continue repeating myself and complying with his requests to check this and that with no obvious reason to it but to comply with his checklist of questions.
I am now at a loss as to which to resolve this, I welcome any ideas.
