So...Here is the problem:
I have a 1st Generation apple tv running Eden 11, but I'd like to upgrade to Frodo 12. From what I can tell I need to utilize a linux based program (OpenELEC or Crystalbuntu). Both seem to rely on creation of a patchstick which is used to install the software onto the ATV device. The problem I am having is that I do not have an HDTV and use component cables to connect to the television. All of the forums, tutorials, videos, and advice note using an HDMI cable for part of the process of installation, but again, I don't have one because I don't have an HDTV. I am running Windows XP on an older PC, but it's got lots of life left in it :)
Any advice, guides, or a push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!
