Problem started two weeks ago but is getting worse. Click on a menu and the menu closes when you let go of the mouse. Sometimes I have to try several times before it will stay open. Select text and the selection disappears when you let go of the mouse. My main mouse is a Logitech trackball but I tried switching to a regular two button optical mouse - nothing changes.
