I have an Asus P5NESLI motherboard and an 512GB EVGA 8800 GTS graphics card, I just recently switched to Windows 7 from Widows XP. About two months ago I spilled water on my computer and fried my graphics card, luckily I didn't damage my motherboard or any of the other main components. Installed another graphics card of the same make and model and worked perfectly fine. About two weeks later I was in the middle of doing some routine dusting of my pc, got up to get something and one of my dogs decided to meet me in the room and knocked my pc off my bed onto the floor, but it still worked just fine once i soldered my power wires back onto the power button. Nevertheless, bout a month later I was using it, was working perfectly not a problem at all, shut it down and went to bed. During all this I'm in the middle of moving so stuff is everywhere and that night my pc ended up at the foot of my bed. In the middle of the night I get up and slam my foot down on top of my pc pretty hard and its standing upright so the whole computer got the shock of it. The next morning, I plug it all back up to use it and I get nothing from the monitor and the operating system didnt run either. So i forced shut it down, waited a few minutes started it back up and the operating starts up, but still no feed from the monitor. I tried swapping out graphics cards, I tried using different monitors, used different cords, adapters, nothing worked. After I let it sit plugged up and with original equipment that was on it when it stopped working, I figure I start it up to see if it would work and sure enough it was feeding a signal to the monitor, I ran a bunch of diagnostic test on the OS and then on the monitor and nothing wrong. Played with it for few hours and I couldn't find any problems, until I shut it down and start it back up. That was the last time I saw anything on my monitor. Went through the same troubleshooting techniques form before and even waited two weeks again lol, and still nothing. Currently I'm using a loaner to even send to post this message. I haven't taken it to a shop because I've put alot of money in upgrades and parts and don't really trust anyone else with my computer, I've already been taken advantage of once and rather not have it happen again so if someone can offer some advice that'd be great cuz if not I'm just gonna start from scratch... Again.... Please let me know what I could save and what I shouldn't or what I should do.
Thanks :)
