Hello, i need help to upgrade my processor. i upgraded graphics card and ram okay but struggling to find information on compatibility with processors. And seeing as theres loads of choice im just gonna ask on here. Does the motherboard restrict you on the class of processor you can get?.... im thinking yes it does. Ok, so if i give you my computer model and the processor i have already, hopefully someone can tell me what processor will work and where i can buy it from.
so my system is a HP Pavillion 061 model: rf783aa-abu a1615.uk and my current processor is an intel celeron D processor at 3.2 ghz.
I dont want to upgrade to gamer levels... just to be able to watch 1080p films, i can watch 720p atm but my poor machine cant handle 1080 just yet its nearly there, it plays the file but is very laggy/stuttery/breaky uppery. i believe its the processer as i have a 1080p graphics card at 1gbs and 1gb ram on a windows XP machine.
