Hello everybody,
I've got an old problem reoccuring. I hope u guys can help me solve it. I've had this problem before and that time it lasted for a week and then it was over gone, but now its back and this time I want it gone forever. Also I have a LAN this weekend so I don't have the time to wait.
The problem:
First the computer stops working. This can be a freeze with the screen staying the same. Sometimes it scrambles the screen. Sometimes it doesn't freeze, but shuts down and tries to restart. Almost every time the restarting fales and it just keeps trying to start. When this happens the only way out is pushing the off button for a while or unplugging.
The next problem is that when I try to start my computer again it doesn't work. It makes noise, the fans work but nothing happens. You can hear it trying to start, but then it gives up. This goes in cycles of about 3 seconds.
Sometimes when I'm lucky it does start. This can be right after the last shutdown, 10 minutes later or a day later. Seems kinda random.
When does it happen:
-After a random time
-When I do nothing and when I open a lot of screen and are in game
-In normal mode, safe mode
-Even when reading the BIOS a freeze can happen. Can't imagine that taking a lot or RAM
-Saturday the computer had this problem for about and hour. Then it was gone and my computer was on for 10 straight hour of which I was gaming most. Because of this I don't think its a heat problem, but I'm no expert. Sunday the computer didn't wanna work for more then 10 minutes before stopping.
What I've tried to solve it:
-Well, last time this problem happens was 3 months ago and it stayed for a week and then solved itself. This time i'm first going to try another accu. If this doesn't work then most likely the computer wont stay on long enough to do a RAM test.
This is about all I can tell about the problem. For so far I know I've got all the latest drivers and a good virus scanner that I use to scan my disk once in a while. Anyone has an Idea what can be causing these problems?
Greetings,
Paul
