Hey Guys,
A family member went to movietickets.com to purchase movie tickets. I did not witness what happened, but after the purchase a screen came up and said "Do you want to close the Window?" Than, another screen came up that said, "Do you want to Shut Down Your Computer? And the person said "yes." The computer shut down.
My inquiry is that in twenty five years of computing, I have never seen a website, at least from the safe end prompting users for a shut-down message. I have Firefox, Ad-Block Plus, updated and scanned with MSE, Malware Bytes, checked with Brightcould.com with a scan, and URL Void with a scan and everything is clean. Did Check Disk Everything clean.
Is the shut down prompt after a secure encrypted purchase something that some new sites may be doing for security reasons?
Satch
