My dad's laptop has recently had a problem with it's graphics interface. The screen has taken on a "chequered"/almost tartan quality for no apparent reason (no falls, spills or apparent damage). Everything is visible on the screen, but like I said, chequered.
Local IT guy thinks that its the graphics card and we should just buy a new laptop. Any thoughts/recommendations?
