I have a Dell Studio 1537 laptop with intermittent videoproblems. On occasion, the actual screen size (13x 8) reverts to a smaller 4x3configuration (10x 7.5), instead of the normal wide screen. Some timesrebooting corrects the problem, more often it does not. This is driving me nuts. Iupdated all of the Dell drivers, then I went to the Intell web site and installedtheir newest driver for the 4 series chipset (date 10/04/2012 version8.15.10.286). Installing the Intel driver fixed the problem for a few months, nowthe problem is back. Has anyone ever seen this before? Please help.

The Laptop monitor is listed as generic PnP on Intel mobile4 chipset family. Set at the optimum resolution of 1280x800. When it goes to the smaller size the resolution remains the same.
