I currently have a set of videos on a micro sd card that's in my phone (android phone, kind of low end, no tv out functionality, can function as a disk drive, but my tv does not have a usb port). They are also on my computer.
I would like to be able to view these videos on any tv in my house with the following requirements:
1) It must be portable. i.e there is nothing to plug in. Highly preferred, but if it's cheaper to have a plug in device, I am willing to abandon this requirement.
2). It must be cheap / inexpensive, meaning less than $30
3) It must support tv's that have only connections for RCA cables (AV)
That's about it. The cheapest solution that I am seeing thus far is to purchase a portable media player that I see on an auction site which supports tv out and to copy the videos on to it and/or put my micro sd card in it. The prices range from $28 and up.
My videos files' extension are webm, but I can always find software to convert them to another format.
Another idea would be to get a portable dvd player that supports tv out, but I don't see any new ones for under $30. Plus, I may have to buy dvds afterwards.
I am looking for nothing fancy. This is just for when I am at a different part of the house and would like to view and hear the video on a larger display than my phone.
I look forward to your response and thank you in advance.
P.S. Well, I know the cheapest way is to use my existing laptop to tv / rca cable (though I sometimes have to wiggle it to get it to work) or buy one and my laptop and move the laptop around, but I would rather not do that. So, I am looking for the 2nd cheapest option.
