too much bass

I have spent hours trying to get rid of the bass on my speakers which obliterates the vocal almost completely and leaves me listening to a booming banging pounding sound that is really ridiculous

Is there any way I can switch off the bass completely? Each time I adjust the setting when I log back on I have the whole thing to do again to the point where I am no longer playing music because every time I do it takes 20 minutes to figure out how to tone down the unbearable bass levels and i just cannot be bothered

do I have something I can just UNPLUG?
