Hi
I'm running Windows 7 with two partitions (C:Programs 130GB, and Data 141GB). As the names suggest All my programs go into C: and other stuff into D:.
C: drive keeps filling up, funny that because I don't add many programs. D: has lots of space.
I just ran Disk Cleanup and removed System Restore and have gained some breathing space, however I'm sure it will fill up again.
How difficult is it to repartition the drive, and are there other things I can do?

Hi,

I just had a USB stick fail to be recognized.The Windows message balloon says it has malfunctioned. It has no moving parts and so I reason that the RAM is failing ? I'm no electrical engineer. Can somebody explain ?

Hello,

I've recently been encountering the blue-screen of death, and it just so happens that its starting to just after my pc has come off its service warranty. Anyway, I tried a few things that I thought would fix it, but it happen again. Unfortunately, since it restarts on its own, I can't write down any codes. There are some on board diagnostic programs, but those only let me know that there was a problem, not how to fix it. I pasted the screen shot of the error that I getting once I run the Dell Diagnostic Program, but I have no idea on how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, my pc specs are below and I've attached a copy of the screen shot.

outlook showing synchronizing for 48 hours. no mail coming through. My pst file is quite large 31,000,000 and 210,000 and 2 ost files 544,000,328 and 1,075,144 can i rename them and restarts outlook? I use gmail for connection. Win 8.1 16 G memory 64 bit

Just as the tile says. I'm having this issue and it happens 2-3 times per week for about the past 3-weeks or so. Also Firefox often doesn't respond, Freezes and blanks out. Message about Shockwave ?

I have a Gateway laptop NV59C 66U that when i changed the screen with a new screen went black and did not run to windows anymore, I proceeded to reinstall the old screen that had very minor damage and also turned black and did not run . I tried connecting to an external monitor and did not sends a signal. The computer charge the battery and run normally but i dont see anything in disk performance LEDs. I tried to update the BIOS with the files in the gateway's page but all it does the computer after putting the usb and press fn + esc and powerup is flashing orange and purple in the power LEDsand run. I can see that is running because i can hear the fan and the power LED turns blue. ¿What can i do to fix this problem? I dont need the info in my computer because before i did the display change i did a backup. *Thanks.

First thank you for any help provided! I am operating a HP Pavilion dv 9000 win Vista 32.
- Brodcom 802.11b/g WLAN
im staying at a hotel and was able to connect to the WPA2-personel using the correct PW and get online. after a day or so when i restarted my comp it conected to the router but will not get on the net. then after a full day of troubleshooting it simply connected to the net for no aparent reason and i was on the net all day again and was not due to any changes i made as i kept close track of any changes and insured set the changes back after it did not resolve the isue. after my computer went in to sleep mode for the noght and after i restarted it, it again conected to the router but would not go to the Net "Limited connectivity" "very strong signal".
-TCP/IPv4 and TCP/IPv6 are set to Obtain IP automaticaly as well as obtain DNS server Automaticaly
- followed all the recomended actions by the computer Diagnostic Prog with no Joy

- I have faith that the problem should be in the settings of my computer. one of the theorys i had was I am using AVAST and it scans and blocks and slows down everything! but im told it is a good antivirus Prog so i suffer. i shut AVAST off compleatly to see if that might be the issue with no joy.

I have the following problems with my

Toshiba Satellite Pro running Win XP SP3 2002 32 bit version. 2GHz, 2.8Gbt RAM

1 Wireless adapter cannot connect to router. It will show access points and my router is one of them. When I try to connect it does so but gives the
message that the it cant receive an IP address.

2 I tried to uninstall the wireless adapter driver using the hardware manager, and then restart the PC. This has worked in the past, but now I get this message when I try to uninstall:

The software you are installing for this hardware
AVG Miniport driver
has not passed Windows Logo Testing to verify its compatability with Windows XC. [further warning]
One can choose between Continuing Installation or STOPing. Either choice the same message appears three more times. If you choose Continue 4 times the router driver
disappears from Device Manager and is reinstalled by Plug and Play when I reboot.

3 System Restore runs, but always returns with message "System cannot be restored to Restore Point [date] No changes have been made" This for all Restore points
created.

4 Lastly, when I shut down there ALWAYS seem to be 12 updates to down load. They never seem to get installed.
Can anyone help with this?

I have an adsl line with router conected to my phone line. I also have an active phone connection in my bedroom. Is there any way i can connect to bedroom line to create a wired internet connection in my bedroom. I know i cant have 2 routers on one connection but is there another way. Thanks

I posted this a month or so ago. The updates aren't for my computer so the system tries to load them, then has to remove them. I was given instructions by lunarlander to resolve the problem and it worked great - net stop Wuauserv - %windir% - rename SoftwareDistribution to SoftwareDistributionOld - net start Wuauserv.

I thought my computer had locked up one night so I held the "On" button to shut it down. The fix I made no longer worked. I followed the instructions again but not with the same results.

Hi,
As the title states when i am in a game (dota 2, CS:GO), my game gets stuck for 1-2 seconds, sometimes longer. If i play any of these games offline it doesnt happen however.

What have i tried?
I tried checking if it was the internet by playing same game on my laptop, there it wasnt a problem
I tried updating my gfx driver.
I tried formatting (3 times) and only installing drivers and one of the games, the problem persisted.
I might have tried other things, but its a little of a blur currently

I am thinking it might be my motherboard/network card, but would like to hear your oppinion

I am experiencing a connection reset error when playing farmville 2. I can access all other games on facebook but that one. I went through unistalling and reinstalling adbode flshplayer, java, etc, reset my modem, restored access points, firewall settings, etc. I am so confused on how I can play all other games by Zynga but farmville 2. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

When typing text, instead of working normally my right shift key selects a certain amount of text written (I have realised this amount depends on the length of time the shift key is held) then which ever key is pressed next, even a letter, deletes the selected text. I am using a Packard Bell EasyNote TS

I am running windows 7 but of recent I get this pop up message box that is titled
APSDaemon.exe-System Error
x Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.

My computer seems to be running fine but this pops up each start up, should I be worried or does it need fixed?

Hello, I am experiencing issues playing farmville 2. On both my PC and laptop I get a connection was reset error when trying to play Farmville 2 by Zynga games; however, I can play all other games by Zynga on facebook. I went through the tutorials, uninstalling and reinstalling adbode, java, shockwave. I tried Google Chrome and Foxfire and Mozilla. The tech for Zynga says it is my search browser but I played it fine up until 2 days ago on my laptop. I messed around with my firewalls, restored my computer, etc- everything works great but this game. It is driving me insane. I play it fairly often in between my classes. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I know that this subject has been discussed previously, but I am hoping that a better solution may have been found since the previous discussions - all of which I have read.

I realise that the W3C preferred method of developing a website is to keep the styles in the CSS and the code in the HTML. And that is what I normally do. Most of the sites that I have developed have extensive stylesheets - so this is not something new to me.

However, from an aesthetic perspective it would be really helpful if there was a way to center the containing div tag that would work with most of the popular browsers. I have not found a way as yet.

Has anyone?
