Updating Codecs

In reading many comments here, and rather than responding to them one by one or jumping from the XP forum to the Windows 7 forum, to the Windows 8 forum, etc. which would take an inordinate amount of time, with the main comment I am hearing being that some software utilities are not acting properly or that they cannot view or listen to programs, etc. as before, one reason could be that your *Codecs* are not up-to-date. Codecs are the heart of the Multimedia world as they provide drivers, etc. to keep your system going. When the codecs need replacing, that can cause the integrity of multimedia to suffer.

Codecs tend to be updated very quickly. Sometimes before you turn around there is another update! Therefore, it is essential to update your codecs just as soon as possible in order to keep things running smoothly on your system with the multimedia. And since this thread is all about Multimedia, I thought I'd point you to a great place to obtain Codec updates regularly if you have not already heard about it or are new here or just visiting. You might consider bookmarking the following site or pinning it regularly so that you will always be reminded to update quickly and avoid future problems. The following site, as noted, can help most computer users update the codecs with the major Windows OS!
