How can I change a flash drive's identification?
I have 3 flash drives that I use for different purposes. My computer automatically assigned an alpha identification to each as it was put into use, naming them G:, H:, and I: respectively and continues to recognize them as such regardless of which USB port they are plugged into.
How can I change those identifications? Specifically, I want to copy files from G: to H: to take advantage of its larger capacity (that much is easy) and then designate H: to be recognized henceforth as G: so that my Excel backup macros will work as intended when looking for G:
What happens to the old G: is not an issue at the moment, but if I decide to use it for another purpose it will have to be identified by a different alpha character.
