I have a new phone, Samsug Galaxy Exhilarate i577. I've been trying to figure a few things out (I finally found out how to answer it when someone calls LOL) not a big deal but would like to know, just to know. How do I screen capture? I've looked it up, and this is version 4.0.4 called "ice cream sandwich" it says is screen capture capable.
I've found YouTube tutorials, one says to hold the HOME button and press POWER at the same time (this just turns off my phone). More places say hold the volume down button and power button (this puts the volume down and turns off the phone) Someone told me with her phone (different, a Focus2) she just swipes her palm over the screen and it captures it.
I know people do this, like taking screen shots of their weather and posting it on face book or somethig.
I'm also trying to figure out how to save a picture someone sends me in text (which screen capture would do, though there are probably other ways) and "select all" (like to copy, paste- I have seen people select and save whole text threads) and to get anything saved on the SD card (I had a samsung rugby 2 flip phone before this, which would give the option of saving to the SD card, in fact I had it set up so it automatically saved to the card to start with) I don't really need to save things to the SD card, but it's in it and formatted, so just wondering how. The user manuals and instructions (AT&T) have online don't seem very in depth and don't cover a lot of this.
