Can someone help me out? What is this?

Okay, I have this big white box coming out of a wall and have ordered some new furniture, the furniture has to go where the box is, which is obviously a problem, the furniture has to be pushed right up against the wall, I need to know what this box is, the thick white cable goes into the back of my superhub. Just need to know what it is and if it can be moved?
