My USB ports no longer work on my early 2011 Macbook Pro. I could send it in for repairs, but I can't afford to be without my computer (I use it for freelance design work), and also I just can't afford the cost of repair.
I have a functioning firewire port, an SD card slot, and apparently a thunderbolt port, although I was informed that early 2011s have a port that LOOK like a thunderbolt, but don't function as one. I have yet to test if it works.
I would like to find a way to plug in usb, even if it's slow and not very powerful (wireless hub, firewire adapter). Just a way to do it would save me hundreds of dollars until my next computer purchase down the road. I've done a lot of research, but I haven't found anything, and I don't know what else to look for. That's why I'm coming here. Can anyone help?
