Hello, I have started having troubles with my computer about 3 days ago now and have tried some steps to find problem but I am still unsure as to what is wrong.
I tried to turn on my computer but whenever I pushed the power switch nothing would happen. When I turned the power switch on the PSU off then on my computer immediately powered on for about 3 seconds then shut down. When I tried pushing power button nothing would happen. I flicked the switch on the PSU and the same problem happened again. So I figured the problem was the PSU so I replaced it with an older one. I still had the same problem, except this time the computer would turn on through the power switch but would still only power on for a few seconds but then immediately shut down.
I noticed the fan on the graphics card was going really fast whenever I tried turning it on so I figured that it may have been the cause of the problem. I removed my graphics card and cleaned it using some computer duster. I tried turning on my computer my plugging my monitor into the built-in graphics card in the motherboard. This time the computer would power on but with no image showing up on the monitor and the processor fan spinning very fast. I plugged my graphics card back in and this time the computer did not immediately power down but instead just stays on with the fans spinning really fast and no image showing up on monitor.
I know this is all a bit confusing but I've basically been retracing my steps to try and find problem. I've tried replacing the PSU and found I still had a problem and I think the graphics card is not the problem either. Could it possibly be the processor or the motherboard that is the problem? I've checked multiple times that everything is connected properly and I am running out of ideas. I just need to know what may need replacing basically.
Can anyone offer any advice? I'm all out of ideas here, thank you for any help.
