The 75 Gb hard drive in my computer is so full I can't even defragment it, but I have 257 Gb of free space on a 298 Gb external HD. How can I take advantage of this space? I tried moving one program (Scrapbook Deluxe) to the external drive, but nothing moved except the shortcut. Even if it had worked, it was nowhere near enough; I need to free up about 11,000 Mb to get enough free space to defragment the drive, besides which if I wanted to add a program I'd be out of luck.
Can you offer suggestions in language suitable for a person who is minimally computer literate? My other options are to buy a new computer, which I can't afford right now, or buy a bigger hard drive and pay someone to install it.
