Reoccuring BSOD: page_fault_in_nonpaged_area

I have an old Toshiba laptop with 2GB of RAM and a fresh Vista SP2 install that likes to BSOD a lot, mostly during boot.
The error it throws is a page_fault_in_nonpaged_area fault.

I've let memtest86 run for several hours and no errors are reported. I have also run the Fujitsu HDD diagnostic utility twice within DOS and all is well.

I managed to find an updated BIOS but updating this has had no effect.

I'm lost.
