Several years ago there were some issues with IE 7 and and Advance Access and Top Producer software. I was told to install a patch that would make my computer think I was using IE6 regardless of what version of IE I was using. Since everyone has upgraded their equipment over the years, I would like to remove this patch from my computer as it now gives me an error message to update my browser even though I have IE 8.
I went to the url that had the patch (ie7patch.exe) but the page is no longer in existence. Can you tell me where to find this patch on my computer so I can remove it? I have run a search for IE7patch.exe on my computer but have come up empty. I have been using FireFox and Chrome to circumvent the problem, but I would like the ability to use IE again without the error issues.
Also, the last two Windows updates I did, stopped my computer from working. My tech guy says it's because I'm still using XP Pro and should upgrade to at least Windows 7. I like XP and see no need to upgrade, but I'm afraid to install another Windows update as it has caused problems .....any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for any help ..........
