Been furiously working on this. I was trying to print a greeting card on best photo mode when both these happened.
Symptom 1: Slow, quieter, continuous carriage motion not terminated by off or reboot. Only stopped when turned off power strip overnight.
Symptom 2: Black and Magenta don't print and have no nozzle pattern. Other nozzles fine.
Tried:
Towel soaked heads overnight with 50/50 distilled/Windex.
This gained the black nozzle about three spots on the pattern. Magenta = nothing.
Flushed black with 1 ml warm distilled/isopropyl/detergent. After 1 normal and hours later 1 heavy cleaning was able to get black back to normal (one or two skips).
Magenta nozzle would not accept flush and I did not force it. I did pull out and got a little ink in the tubing but it would have required strong or impossible force to push it through.
What now?
