For years I've happily used MS Money 2005 and my Dell Axim PC - at the checkout I open up SPB Finance, input my transactions, then sync to the desktop and it made reconciliation easy.
The sync doesn't always work, and the software isn't working right. It's time to start looking for a replacement. Sadly.
I don't have a smart phone and don't want one, but I do have an android tablet I usually have in the car with me on the road. I could easily see shopping then hopping back in the car and entering the receipt on the spot, then coming back and uploading the transactions somehow.
Suggestions? Downloading GnuCash trial - can't see whether it will do what I want across the android/pc divide tho.
I really don't want to have to come home, bring it up, and enter receipts. Yea it's possible but my track record with that isn't so good. And yes, I am an an accountant! Sigh....
Would like to see what others are doing. I'm also leery of putting my info in just any old program that might be in reality some kind of scam to get into my bank.
