Ok hello Um my name is oceanrain, and In have a major issue and also a perplexing situation with it...Ok here goes back in highschool I was big into putting music on my pc Im into a lot of music so I have a lot of cds. due to an accidental flood damage in my fathers house most of my cds where ruined when the bathroom on my floor piped burst and my room ws flooded.
I had thankfully put my music on my Seagate Black and orange 80 gb backup hard drive now here is my issue in college a friend worked for a photo/video production company told me ill pay you 500 bucks if i hold onto his files so his wife doesnt freak. later after 2 months he died in a car crash and later about 3 days after Beaus death I was in the process of deleting the files when our dog at the time a mastiff accidentally knocked it off the computer desk.
So the hard drive is fine but the metal tip on the inside the usb port is broken off so I can plug in the cord to use it what I want to do is not loose the music and want to fix it or install it into the computer desktop an hp late 90s-early 00s desktop running windows vista sp 2or3 its been a while but all still works the hd was used on this pc along with the ipod i will be using once i get the hd working so i can keep my music. Due to the rest of the porn on there i dont feel right taking it to a best buy so please help I looked at the files before allowing them on the hd its all legal stuff mostly of older women. Any help is appreciated :)
