Desktop Sleep Mode Loses Wireless Connection

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium, and use a NetGear WN121T Network Adapter with NetGear Wireless -N150 WNR 1000v2 router and have wireless internet.

My laptops have no problem with sleep mode, but whenever my desktop is put into Sleep mode, upon "waking up" it loses its wireless connection, and Windows won't recognize the device. The only solution is to unplug the adapter and then pop it in again. That works every time.

This only occurs with sleep mode. If I turn the computer off and on, or if I do a reboot of the machine, the USB adapter works perfectly - I'm immediately connected to the Internet.

In the Wireless Network Connection Status Window
Status>Properties>Power Management. Both boxes are unchecked. The one that says "Allow this device to wake the computer "is grayed out and not able to be ticked. The other option I've ticked and it made no difference.

Any thoughts on why my internet connection can't wake up from sleep mode and be reconnected?
