moving copy in a cell to a new row

I have an excel spreadsheet that has categories separated by ; within a cell. Each time a ; appears I would like to copy that row to a new row with only the one category. some of them contain several. It is column C Business activities. We need to create a classified directory and have the company appear in each category so I would like to copy the row and change the category to reflect only one category per row. Does that make sense to anyone?
