Hello,
Friend is building new gaming computer, he's gonna spend like 2 grand on it and he wants to know if he should use 2 8 GB sticks for 16 GB total or 4 4 GB sticks and use all 4 slots instead of only 2. I would say use only 2X8 so that he has the option to add more in the future if he ever so pleases. But is there any advantage to using all 4 slots vs only 2 slots.
Thanks, If you need anything else. He is not exactly sure of the exact parts he's gonna use but he just wanted to know if there was an advantage to any way or not. Here are a link to two builds the first one is the one I had done and the second one is one he had done but he said he's done like 4 or 5 others. So yeah would you do 2 X 8 or 4 X 4 also which build would you choose and or would you go with something completely different and or maybe mix some parts from both.
My build AMD

his build Intel
