Windows XP Professional, ver. 2002, service pack 3 I am a novice. Need Step by Step help, please. Thank you.

The message I get is:

"Error message - unable to log in to SQL server

description - time matters could not connect to the SQL database . this can result from incorrect SQL configuration settings, or from interference by security features such as firewalls and antivirus programs.

37000 - cannot open database "time matters 12" requested by the login. The login failed.

Recommended action - review support Center article ID 11148 for instructions on diagnosing and resolving the problem."

The last Time Matters technician took the following notes [After I received this note, I used the tests to decompress the C drive, but discovered that the tick boxes had already been deselected, so it appears that the hard drive is not compressed.]:

• >> no consultant after 5 minutes >> >> file locations are correct >> database created >> started SQL Server instance still no connect >> disabled firewall >> restart services - failed still >> TCP / Ip and named pipes already enabled >> flushed DNS >> already set to mixed mode >> checked DB on SQL management studio and we get error saying that the DB is compressed and we need to decompress the HDD >> advised "SQL Server Cannot Install Files To The Compressed Or Encrypted Folder - TM / LNTPA" >> user understood and ended call NEXT AGENT: Make sure that they have decompressed the HDD before helping out, continue with SQL first troubleshooting and call consultant for possible escalation. Issue was because of Compressed Folder.
