macbook memory upgrade

hello people, how are you all. i found a really interesting article on how to upgrade memory modules of late 2008 macbooks and macbooks pro. first thing that came to my mind is i wish i knew this before i gave mine away in order to get one with "more power" i aways knew manufactureres kept things like this secret so they can rob us in a legal and more civil way.
