Hello Guys,
I have Ubuntu studio (13.10) installed on my laptop. I am experiencing a wifi disconnection issue, i'd like to believe others are facing too. Before installing Ubuntu studio i had Ubuntu in it's purest form ;) and had the same issue.
To resolve it i compiled in the 3.12 kernel and it seemed to have solved the problem.
Now with the Ubuntu studio compiling in that kernel is not even working. I finished the process and checked the kernel version and it was still 3.11.0-11-lowlatency
###@Sleekbook-14:$uname -r
3.11.0-11-lowlatency
###@Sleekbook-14:$
i don't understand what i'm doing wring really?
i ran the commands as below
after extracting to /usr/local
sudo make menuconfig
sudo make
sudo make modules_install install
then reboot
then check version and nothing changed.
Anyone have an idea what i might be missing?
