Recently (within past week) I encountered some type of malware and ran a full scan with Microsoft Essentials ( and other spyware - ie. PCScan, Panda, Spybot) that seemed to clear the problem, at least temporarily, but now I am having a download issue which I believe to be a result of the malware problem from last week. When I attempt to download files from internet (various sites) using Google Chrome I get the error message "insufficient permissions". Also I have tried using Firefox and I cannot download either. I have tried changing the download folder in the attribute section from read only; however this does not help. I am using Windows XP, 32 bit, Professional Version 2002 with service pack 3. I am some what of a novice when it comes to knowing my way around the computer so please be patient with me.
