XP Home SP2 update to SP3

After re-installing the OS Home, I'm trying to update to SP3 and this dialog box states; SP3 setup cannot update
a checked ( debug ) system with a free ( retail ) version of SP3 or vise/versa ?
XP Home SP2. Need some guidance.
