Dual issue computer will not install updates nor can it

ead or write to blank DVDs. I have a Toshiba Satellite c655 that is running Windows 7. When I try to install my updates I get the following error messages Errors found 80224200d. When I shut down windows as prompted to install the updates, it states it is installing when it has not. I am not sure if the next part is connected but when I try to burn to a blank DVD or read one that I had burnt prior, the system says that their is no DVD in the try. I have even tried using a USB connected drive and got the same error message.
