750w PSU - no GFX signal

Hey guys,

This problem is driving me insane. I bought a brand new 750w Ace PSU, upgrading from my old 500w PSU. I hooked it all up and now I am getting no signal on my graphics card. The strange thing is plugging in the old PSU it powers up so I know there is nothing wrong with the card itself. So I thought maybe it wasn't connected correctly so re-checked all the connections from the 750, it was all plugged in correctly, including the 6pin...still nothing.

Right...I was now thinking maybe it is a problem with the PSU, so I did a bit of frankenstein like detective work and plugged the 6 pin on the 750 into the GFX card and the old 500w into the motherboard and powered them up separately, to my surprised this worked, with the 500w powering the board and the 700 only hooked upto the graphics card. So I can kind of rule out a faulty PSU.

When the new PSU is connected, everything powers up but the graphics card just won't output. I am wondering if it might be the motherboard only allowing up to a maximum watt psu, but all the documentation I have on it doesn't say it is limited. I have tried updating the Bios, that hasn't worked, tried resetting the Bios, again... no luck.

So I don't know...I am running out of ideas, any suggestions guys?

The specs are:

Motherboard - Zotac H55-itx wifi
GFX- Ati HD 5770 1gb Radeon
Processor - Intel i3

Hopefully someone will have the answer.

Pobb
