Outlook 2010 Connection Problem

I have a connection problem with Outlook 2010. When I try to open an email, send an email, or open an attachment I get an error message that I'm not connected. My computer stops working and I have to reboot to get reconnected. When I check the internet connection I get a message "DSN server not connected" This happens two to three times a day.
