Hi. I think this year I will finally get around to doing something I've planned on for a few years. I would like to build a state of the art computer that won't be obsolete in 10 years.
I'd like to use dual quad core cpus, a motherboard that will allow for a lot of expansion in terms of periferals, high end graphics card, and superb audio. I'd like a lot of Sata taps, USB sockets, and would like to have 3 to 4 internal harddrives, 2 optical drives, and an antique floppy drive. I already have a very powerful PSU, a Seasonic 1250 W, and am leaning toward an Antec One full tower for an enclosure, with water cooling capability.
I'd really like to have one of you builders out there to give me a "wish list"of systems boards, CPUs and accessories.
The computer will be used to surf, game , crunch numbers, solve equations and run a cad program.
In part this will be a learning experience for me; I believe the best way to learn is by doing.
If any of you out there can help me out with food for thought, ideas, and choices, I'd be very grateful. Thanks,
John
