Annoying Warning and Reminder Messages.

I keep getting these annoying and reminder messages. Do I need them and if not how do I get rid of them.
Examples of Warnings and Reminders:

Browser Update Available [Download][Install]
Unsecure Browser Detected
Outdated Browser Detected
Update Your Flashplayer

BTW my Browser is Mozilla Firefox and what is Firefox 23.
