When I researched how to prepare my iMac for sale, all hits suggest wiping the drive and doing a clean install from the original system (not linked to me).
I don't have a disk for this. I don't want to buy a new system disk (actually, I'm giving this old iMac to someone), and have no idea how to proceed. I don't want my purchased programs or anything connected to me on the machine, this new owner has software for the Mac (but not a system suitable for this more powerful computer).
