I have a machine I built about 5 yrs ago (with lots of help from people here, thanks :D) and am having, what I think is a pretty simple problem.
I recently upgraded to win8 and got some new ram and I had the machine unplugged and sitting in my living room for a couple weeks while I was doing some work in the computer room. I then put it back and everything worked ok for a couple days, but the other day I went to turn it on, and .... nothing.
Fans do not spin, absolutely nothing happens when I hit the power switch. Assuming the cables for the power switch are still on correctly (my next check) is it safe to assum the PSU is dead? What checks should I do to confirm that?
(also deciding whether or not this is an ok excuse to just rebuild the machine from scratch :D:D)
