Cannot Update!

Hello,

I have been having this problem for quite awhile and I can't take it anymore. I can't update anything. This includes Internet Explorer, Java, Acrobate Reader, ect, ect. If I go to update something it lets me start, then says that I am not connected to the internet, even though I used the internet to get to the web site.

Any help would be appreciated.
