Looking to combine a HTPC and server

I have parts and pieces of computers sitting around and am trying to combine them to make an HTPC and Server in one.

These are the parts I have.

I had an HTPC computer running some of these era components that ran well. Would these be okay for an HTPC and server combo? I was contemplating upgrading MOBO and CPU, FRYs is having a sale to
AMD FX-4300
MSI 970A-G46

Would my current configuration run a HTPC and server well or should I change out some of the components? All suggestions are appreciated.
