Above is my brand new Dell Desktop. The system asks me to backup. The backups are a regular security feature. Windows 7 suggests an external hard-drive as the backup medium for system images. I have a small HD from my old computer that I can patch to the new with a USB connection. It is only about 38GB in size. Windows 7 suggests at least 200GB. How can I tell what the size of the system is at any time? Windows Explorer does not give the size of files, folders, or - more importantly here - the total size of the system and all files on the C drive? Or am I overlooking something?
Your help would be appreciated. I need to decide what the best and more economical medium would be for the system images. I think the medium must be NTSB formattable.
