I have a client that had some infections, unwanted toolbars, etc. I did a cleanup but a problem remains.
In Internet Explorer 9 or 10:
- On the Google home page, the bar that usually shows up a black with white writing (Search, Images, Maps, Gmail, etc.) has a white background with the writing in a blue font and a blue frame. It's kind of like a poor graphic something. It can't seem to display this bar correctly.
- If you go on other pages with pictures, the picture flashes for a second then disappears.
- I've tried downloading Adobe Flash Player but it errors out. Additionally, the pop-up window that appears during the download is almost not view-able (all white, no progress bar. etc.)
I've uninstalled IE 10 and downgraded to IE9 but the problem remained.
I removed every toolbar and browser helper I could find.
I scanned and found and removed malware.
If we use Google chrome everything is fine.
Any suggestions?
