flv and video recording from TV

I have been trying to record part of a TV program to my h/drive for a family member.

It has no download link facility to record to the h/drive in whatever format.

I have tried 'getflv' which downloads the flv's but can't do anything with them.

Installed trial version of 'Replay media catcher5' , this also downloads the flv's complete with an image for each file downloaded so they can be identified. Which these are adverts attached to the video/program.

But niether records the actual video or shows any file being recorded/downloaded.

The TV channel is Ch4oD and youtube has the same video, but from the same source.

Any clues how to record the flv's and video, or just the video.
