External drive lock

I have folder lock installed on my PC, I can lock or password protect my files with no problem, but I need to protect my external drives so no one has access to it. What software can I use to do that? I need a software that even tho I am working on the external drive, other wont be able to access it. I have so much confidential information from my company, and I am just afraid that someone within the company can access and delete important info.
