Starship Titanic on Windows 7

Hello! I'd like to get Starship Titanic working on my Windows 7 machine, but, seeing as it's a Windows 95 game, it's being stubborn.

Before I start with the details, there has already been a thread on this issue:

http://forums.techguy.org/games/8777...ndows-7-a.html

I've followed all of the steps detailed out over on the old thread, but I still have a problem similar to the one Coronacolada encountered near the end of the thread. My game will launch the initial boot screen, go black, as if it's trying to load the game, and then crash. No error messages, no nothing. Coronacolada solved the problem by installing DirectX.

I have DirectX 11 installed. Would this be causing the problem? Do I need to downgrade to an older version?

Thanks!

P.S. I apologize in advance if my reply speed is a bit slow.
