Nvidia Streaming? PC - PC?

I've been wondering for a while now, is it possible to stream games (or any 3d video intensive+low latency applications) to another computer from a powerful pc/server?

Its been on my mind for quite a while now. (Wayyy before Nvidia shield was thought up of) but I've found no real solution to this problem. I've tried remote desktop connections with applications like splashtop or logmein. but none of them can provide smooth video streaming with low latency. However, there is an application that is dedicated to streaming games from a server to another computer and it is called "streammygame". The problem with it is that application is old(hasn't been updated in ages), has bad compression for video and horrendous latency (for a LAN network). But, the biggest kick in the teeth for me about that program is that it has horrendous streaming support for steam ( if at all). (I don't want to create a negative image for this piece of software. It just doesn't work for me and I think the creator of this has long disconnected support. I believe this program has potential,)

Now, Nvidia has recently (a few months ago) announced their GRID Servers. As well as their shield android gaming handheld. As some of you may know, the main attraction of the shield is the ability to stream games from a desktop to the handheld.
My question is, has Nvidia released this technology for PC-PC streaming?

My apologies for this long explanation.
Thank you for taking this time to read what I have to say.
Thanks in advance. :)
