Suddenly my windows xp screen is not the one I have been using up till now. I don't know what happened but it may have something to do with either Picasa or with Display Properties. To begin with the screen was suddenly white and the icons had shadowed text next to them. I rebooted and the screen was plain blue with small icons. I looked in properties and display and found a very limited list of possible wallapers, none of those that I had before. I cannot download anything from browsing in my pictures or anywhere else, but there are some pictures on the list from Picasa that don't open. Also when I go to Start I get a short grey list of limited programs instead of the white long list I am used to seeing and along the side is printed Windows XP Media Centre Edition which I have never seen before.
I am sorry this is a bit long winded, I don't know how else to explain it. I have run Malwarebytes and done all the usual cleanup. Does anyone have any ideas please?:mad:
