Reinstallation of Drivers and Utilities

I have a Foxconn motherboard INT 916, xp is not recognizing my sound card...it keeps telling me that there is no audio device, no mixer ...I have gone into system...checked and all appears normal and present under sound devices. It was suggested to reinstall the drivers. I have the CD for that but it is coming up as a repair option...I do not believe it is recognizing the sound card.

How can I safely reinstall the motherboard drivers?
